The Little Jar Company started a few years almost accidentally if I’m honest! I’d made a few Christmas themed little jars just as ‘add ons’ for my stand at two craft fairs. The little jars sold out on both occasions. I ordered a few more charms, made a few more little jars and to my absolute astonishment, sold over 200 in the first two weeks! I think this is probably where my charm addiction began. I kept having ideas for more designs so I got more charms and made more little jars. People started to get in touch and ask for certain charms or little jars as special gifts and it was lovely to be able to make something personal for them. A few months later I was incredibly excited when I got my first wedding and hen party order for little jars. Since then, my charm collection has continued to grow and I’ve also added some little bell jars with charms to the range.

All the jars are individually designed and handmade by me. Some of the jars contain handmade extras or natural elements sourced directly from the garden making them even more unique. The jars are all inspired by different things; the idea could come from a childhood memory or from a favourite book or film. Sometimes it could just be because I’ve seen a new charm and had to have it! You can read ‘The Story Behind….” some of the little jars by clicking my blog pages link in the main menu.

The jars are all, “A Little….” and are usually named according to the charm or the theme, e.g. ‘A Little Bee Happy’ or ‘A Little Wish on the Breeze’. There are always new designs on their way and I have some really exciting ideas that I’m developing and I can’t wait to share these with you!

I think they make perfect little gifts or keepsakes for any occasion – birthdays, hen parties, weddings, remembrance, family celebrations, event favours, milestones, new baby or ‘just because’.
